Folding Arm Awnings
- Create a shaded outdoor area over a terrace, patio, courtyard or balcony by extending a Folding Arm Awning. When not required, fabric awnings will roll discreetly out of sight, leaving no unsightly structures.
- Various units are available from Sweden, Italy, and Germany and all are made of high quality aluminium and stainless steel. Some units are able to be powder coated.
- Operation is by worm gear and removable crank handle or they may be motorised by Somfy motors with the options of remote control, automatic sun, wind, rain or time controllers.
- With the option of adjustable pitch, optimum sun and rain protection is achieved. This feature allows you to change the angle of your awning to shade from the low afternoon sun or use as a light rain shelter in calm conditions. Awnings can be manually adjusted from virtually horizontal to an almost vertical position by simple crank handle operation. Some units allow for a single operation pitch control or it may be an individual arm operation.
- Projections of up to 4 metres are available.

- Installation for almost any situation is possible with various types of fixing brackets allowing for roof-mount, fascia-mount, under eave-mount or wall-mount fixing.
- The fabrics generally used are either acrylics or woven fabrics, they may also be sign written for business names and logos.
- The option of a variable valance is also available for some units.
A roller in the front bar allows for up to 1.5 meters of cloth to extend
vertically.
